Modern
Modern dance is the blending of movement technique and dance concepts with the artistry of self-expression, exploration and improvisation. Terpsichorean Dance Studio offers the following Modern Dance classes for students of all ages and abilities. Please see the Class Schedule for specific day, time and teacher information.
| Parent/Tot Creative Movement | 18 mo. - 3 yrs. (parent participation required) - Introduces our youngest students to dance elements, musicality and gentle structure, while letting them explore what they can do with their bodies

| Creative Movement (3 yr) | 3 year olds (January 1 age cut off). Introduces our younger students to dance elements, musicality and gentle structure, while maintaining a positive setting and the creative play necessary to instill a love of dance and a head start for future dance classes.

| Creative Movement (4 yr) | 4 year olds (January 1 age cut off) - Introduces our younger students to dance elements, musicality and gentle structure, while maintaining a positive setting and the creative play necessary to instill a love of dance and a head start for future dance classes.

| Beginning Modern (5-7 yr) | 5-7 year olds (beginning and continuing students, January 1 age cut off) An introduction to movement technique and dance concepts, with encouragement of creativity and exploration, all in a fun and positive setting!
Ages: 5 - 7 |
| Modern (8-12yr) | Focuses on mastering basic technique and exploring dance concepts, with opportunities for self-expression and creativity.
Ages: 8 - 12 |
| Modern for Teens & Adults | 13yr+, Teens & Adults. Focuses on mastering technique, with fun combinations and opportunities for exploration and improvisation in a supportive and non-threatening setting.
Ages: 13 - Adult |
