Faculty

Dee Dee Burzynski has been an instructor and choreographer for the past 16 years. She brings with her 9 years of professional training and performance experience with Marin Ballet, Keith Martin Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Her mission is to strengthen the student's technical abilities and knowledge of ballet while nurturing the love of movement in classical and contemporary forms. Dee Dee's broad knowledge of dance and related subjects will enhance our advanced students education.

Aprille Chadwell has been teaching at the Terpsichorean Dance Studio for the past 13 years. She has studied jazz for 21 years along with ballet, contemporary, musical theater, tap, and hip hop. As a teacher she brings a level of enthusiasm and dedication that will challenge and inspire her students, and as a choreographer she hopes her passion for expressing one?s self through dance will be instilled in all of her students.

Kathleen "Kathie" Pfalz danced with various ballet companies in Southern California as a child. She was accepted into the American School of Dance in LA at age 11 and was the youngest dancer to be asked to attend the choreography workshops of Eugene Lauwring. She has studied extensively in ballroom, ballet, tap, jazz, modern and belly dancing. Kathie has also worked over the years as a choreographer, voice coach, singer, dancer and actor in the LA area. She has performed as a Disneyland dancer, a Ram's Vicount Dancer, toured as a dancer with an award winning jazz band, worked with a "sign" and dance group and has appeared in numerous musicals and ballets.

Lorina Davis has had a large variety of dance instruction by many different studios over the years that includes ballroom, hip hop, ballet, jazz, tap and musical theater. She has danced, choreographed, and performed with the Jazz Dance Collective for the past 6 years. Lorina brings an enthusiasm and passion for dance to the classroom.

Lindsey Beltran began her career as a tap dancer 15 years ago. She has trained with many of the great tap masters, including Savion Glover, Buster Brown, Diane Walker, Brenda Buffalino and many more. Lindsey began dancing at the age of 5 at the Terpsichorean Dance Studio and has returned to her roots to share her love of dance.

Shelley Johnson has been with the Terpsichorean Dance Studio for 16 years, teaching for the last 6. She has trained in hip hop, modern, ballet, tap, contemporary and jazz. Shelley has attended LADF, and performed with Magic Circle Dance Theatre and Cascades Theatrical Co. Last year she studied at LINES and City Dance School in San Francisco, training with Bazillion Modern and the group Funk-ology. At Oberlin Dance Collective she studied with the hip hop crew Flo-Ology. She will bring new, fresh and exciting choreography to the studio and will help students do what they love. Dance!

Kylee Johnson has been with the Terpsichorean Dance Studio for 16 years, teaching for the last 6. She has training in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Lyrical, Theatre, and Stomp. Kylee has experience in teaching Tap and Hip-Hop. She has also performed and assisted with the choreography at the Cascades Theatrical Company. She has also performed at COCC, and has attended LADF. Kylee teaches her students a classical style Tap and New Age Tap dancing. She enjoys incorporating high energy into her classes, and creates a positive atmosphere for her students. Kylee is enthusiastic, and wishes to share her love of dance with her students.

Holly Kupetz has been dancing since the age of 3 and the last 10 years with the Terpsichorean Dance Studio. She has competed at LADF for the past 8 years, as well as at other workshops. Holly has studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary, modern, theatre and arial dance. She has taught at the Terpsichorean Dance Studio for the past 4 years. Holly is a well loved member of the Terpsichorean Dance Studio faculty.

Anne Greenwald has been dancing and teaching for 37 years. She has been taught by Dame Margot Fonteyn, John Marshall, and George Balanchine. She was taught by Inday Manosa and Alice Reyes in the Philippines and after coming to the USA was trained RAD at the Lake Oswego School of Ballet. Anne has danced with the Marin Ballet, the Houston Ballet and the Atlanta Ballet. She has worked with Merce Cunningham and Dahlia Carella. Anne has choreographed many works and danced a variety of styles such as bellydance, ballet, folk, modern, jazz, hula, ethnic character, flamenco, African and tap.

Tina Baker trained under Debora Vinton, Cecchetti Master for 4 years at Sarasota Ballet, and with numerous other prestigious teachers in the U.S. and England. She has been a featured soloist as well as a corps de ballet member in many ballet productions, as well as Ci Ci Farah's "Range of Motion" and Paulet's "Street Dance." Tina has volunteered her talents for years by sewing costumes, raising scholarship funds, involving the community in dance, and directing TV spots. Tina is teaching our "Ballet Floor Barre" class for a second year.

Carolyn Brant has directed the Terpsichorean Dance Studio for 35 years. Following 14 years of private study in Eugene, Or., she studied dance, choreography and dance education at Stephens College, Columbia, Mo. and the University of Oregon to fulfill her childhood dream. In addition to operating the Terpsichorean Dance Studio, she has given years of choreography to various theatre groups and schools in the Bend area.

Teachers may move students between levels as they see fit, and always have the final decision on class placement.
