Recital
Terpsichorean Dance Studio holds an annual performance in June to culminate our year's work. The recital includes mandatory rehearsals, and full costumes. A costume fee of $50 per registered hour of class ($35 minimum for ¾ hour classes), excluding non-performing classes, will be required before January 15, 2010. A total theatrical experience is thrilling for children and adults alike. Please remember your commitment.
The 2010 recital will be "An Evening in the Library" on Friday June 25 at 7pm and on Saturday, June 26 at 7pm at Mountain View High School. Some classes will perform Friday night, and others Saturday night. Advanced dancers will perform at both.
Dress rehearsal on Wednesday June 23 will be for dancers performing Friday night. Dress rehearsal on Thursday June 24 will be for dancers performing Saturday night. Rehearsal run from 1PM - 7PM. Most students will not have to stay for the whole rehearsal time, but rehearsals are mandatory and dancers must be present at 1PM to learn the finale. It takes a lot of time and commitment to organize this many dancers into a 2 hour performance. We want it to be "stress free" and FUN so each dancer must know where to be, when to be there and must feel comfortable with the space. More detailed schedules will come out in the spring. While it may be impossible to please all families with our performance decisions, we will try to make the experience as joyful and fulfilling as possible. Please plan family vacations accordingly!
Costume fees were due January 15, 2010. Costume fees are $50 for each hour long performing class (combo classes get 2 costumes for $50) and $35 for each 3/4 hour class. We try to be frugal and will return unused costume fees. Please make your payments on time as we must order promptly. Please let the studio know now if you are not performing this year.
Practice music is available for recital routines. Talk to your teachers about this.
Attendance is very important now. If you must miss a class, please try to make it up.
